Building on the foundation of Sylla Studio, Grow unites libraries, faculty, and the global OER community to identify data‑driven gaps in the OER ecosystem.
By analyzing reading lists from multiple institutions, we uncover where open content is missing and then spark the creation, adaptation, or conversion of backlisted materials to expand the open content pool, together.
That's the pathway to 100% open:
A sustainable, zero‑cost and equitable OER ecosystem where everyone has access to high‑quality and unrestricted learning resources.
By partnering with institutions, we identify where OER are most needed — and grow the open content pool in two key ways:
We facilitate a clear, data-driven approach to developing new OER, bringing together multiple institutions to co-create high-demand open content through a fast, fractional process. Quality is ensured through collaborative peer review.
We collaborate with publishers to fill identified OER gaps by converting suitable closed resources into OERs through the Adopt‑to‑Open (A2O) model — a sustainable, demand — and data‑driven model to grow the open content pool.
Collaborate with others Work alongside peer institutions, libraries, and faculty authors to co-develop, remix, and share open content that benefits everyone.
Develop modular, flexible materials that can be reused and adapted across courses, disciplines, and borders - broadening impact for all.
Maintain and refresh OER currently in use — ensuring content stays accurate, relevant, and accessible term after term.
Let's grow the open content pool together
